Buxton VC premisesVolunteer Centre  Buxton provides a range of local volunteering opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds. People can come for advice and help on a wide variety of voluntary work, tailored to the individual.

The Centre holds details of all types of local and national volunteering and offers a range of services to the local community in which volunteers participate.

Core Activities

The Volunteer Centre acts as a broker between organisations wishing to recruit volunteers and people interested in volunteering. A web database of over 100 locally available volunteer opportunities enables a search by postcode, area of interest, specific organisations, time availability or type of activity.

For groups using volunteers, Volunteer Centre  Buxton provides information on good practices in working with volunteers and gives support to statutory and voluntary schemes in need of assistance.

Volunteer Centre  Buxton runs a number of services to benefit the local community. Most of these have volunteering opportunities.

Fairfield Luncheon Club - meets on Tuesdays for a chat and a meal at Fairfield Methodist church, with volunteers helping to serve the food.
